This exhibition is the product of fourteen artist’s hard work over six days. The students designed and cut a woodblock, printed on various repurposed fabrics, and machine and/or hand stitched components together to create modular pieces that were brought together as a collaborative exhibition. The students came from various ability and experience levels; some were undergraduates, some grad students, some were non-traditional and/or professional artists. Many had never sewn before. These images are from the first installation at RNG Gallery in Council Bluffs. The show has since been installed at two other venues around the country.
